Turtle Bay opens in Glasgow

Caribbean restaurant chain Turtle Bay has opened a branch at 130 Vincent Street in Glasgow

Today's (8 December) grand opening follows three successful soft launch days where 500 guests had the chance to sample rum, reggae and jerk for free. The 'Bru & Stormy' cocktail has been created to mark the brand's arrival in Scotland, featuring Irn-Bru paired with RedlLeg rum, bitters and falernum – a Caribbean syrup made with ginger, lime and cloves.

The restaurant also has a two-course Christmas deal for £24.50 or three courses for £29.50, with a free welcome cocktail provided throughout the festive season.

Gemma Lewis, operations manager for the group, comments: "We're absolutely thrilled to open our doors and welcome the people of Glasgow into our Caribbean paradise! This is the first Turtle Bay restaurant to touch down in Scotland and we're so excited to meet new faces and celebrate in Caribbean style."
