New Italian launching in Brighton in June

This June, Razak Helalat – the restaurateur behind popular Brighton eateries The Coal Shed, The Salt Room and Burnt Orange – will bring a taste of Italy to the seaside destination with the launch of Tutto.

Set in a restored 1930s former bank on Marlborough Place, the restaurant will have head chef Mirella Pau (of Café Murano and Padella) at the helm.

Tutto – meaning "all" – is inspired by traditional Italian dining culture, focusing on simple quality and the Italian experience in equal parts. The all-day restaurant will hold an ethos of "bring everyone, eat everything", speaking to the heart of Italian dining where simple, seasonal ingredients and sharing dishes take centre stage.

Sardinian-born Pau will introduce her extensive knowledge of Italian cuisine to Brighton's culinary landscape, informed by memories growing up in a family of Italian restaurateurs as she takes the reins in her first kitchen outside of London.

The 80-cover restaurant will have an informal atmosphere in traditional Italian style, welcoming guests throughout the day. Outside will be a further 34 covers on the terrace where diners can enjoy an al fresco dinner or evening aperitivo. Tutto will be a welcomed addition to Helalat’s growing empire of some of Brighton’s favourite and most celebrated dining spots.
