Market Place Food Hall coming to Vauxhall

Market Place London will open a new food hall in Vauxhall this September, marking the group's third site in the capital after its Peckham and Hounslow locations.

Market Place London is committed to supporting independent business owners, minimising barriers that can prevent success for start-up food and drink vendors. The food hall brand's Vauxhall expansion will adopt the same model as its existing venues, focusing on affordable street food offerings from small and local businesses.

Situated next to Vauxhall station, the food hall will accommodate 12 restaurant spaces, a standalone bar, a DJ booth and seating for 200 people. The offering will explore global cuisines such as wood-fired pizza from Made in Puglia, Mexican tacos by Hermano Tacos, Sri Lankan hoppers and kottu from Karapincha Kitchen, and Jamaican jerk chicken and rum punch by Rudie's Jerk Shack.

Blake Henderson of Market Place comments: "We focus our attention on London neighbourhoods rather than central locations as we want to create amazing food and drink destinations on people's doorsteps. With the onset of hybrid working following the pandemic, people are spending more time on their own neighbourhoods, so we feel there will be strong demand for more Market Place sites across the city."

The full operator line-up for Market Hall Vauxhall will be announced in early September, with the venue opening to the public on Friday 23 September.
