HotBox to open at BOXPARK Croydon

BOXPARK has launched a new barbecue meat restaurant at its South London outpost. From street-food venture to fully-fledged restaurant, HotBox is opening its first restaurant since the business was sold in March 2022 to financier Adhum Carter.

The venue is serving up smoked meats using a combination of kiln-dried hickory and oak in its one-tonne rotisserie smokers. Foodies can find a range of mouth-watering dishes on the menu from the HotBox Bandit Burger with brisket, chimichurri, chipotle aioli and aged beef patties. Other dishes include smoked brisket, scotch bonnet pork ribs, jalapeño chicken, Korean-glazed pork belly and spicy hotlink sausage, all served with house pickles and smoke drip BBQ sauce.

HotBox is a modern smokehouse inspired by ancient cooking techniques. The menu showcases the full smoking and barbecue process, with an emphasis on creativity and introducing new flavour profiles.

The brand began as a nomadic trader based in east London, with residencies at Street Feast's Dalston Yard, Battersea Park, Dinerama, Hawker House and Lewisham's Model Market. Its latest venture at BOXPARK Croydon is the group's first sit-down restaurant, which will also host events including bottomless brunches, DJs and more.
