Bavette coming to Leeds in February
Launching on Town Street in Horsforth, Leeds, in February, neighbourhood bistro Bavette is the first venture from ex-Culpeper Group managing director and head chef Sandy Jarvis and his husband, restaurant manager and sommelier Clément Cousin, formerly of Brawn and The Buxton.
A true collaboration between front-of-house and kitchen, Bavette is born out of its co-founders' desire to share their love of restaurants and create a relaxed bistro, where food and wine are valued in equal measure.
The seasonally-led menu will feature classically-inspired dishes such as pork belly rillons with frisée salad and ravigote sauce; halibut with vin jaune sauce and buttered leeks; and Paris-brest.
The destination wine list will showcase wines from Clément's family vineyard, as well as other low-intervention bottles from across Europe.
