The Cumberland appoints new general manager

The Cumberland, the landmark hotel that has accommodated guests for over 90 years, has appointed Pedro Da Silva as its new general manager

Da Silva joins from a previous role as GM of The Royal Horseguards and One Whitehall Place, a five-star, Grade II-listed hotel in London. He succeeds Julie Hammond, who was general manager from November 2022.

In his new position, Da Silva aims to breathe new life throughout the hotel's 900 bedrooms and food and beverage outlets – including SOUND, a venue that blends live music, sports and dining.

"I am honoured to take on the role of GM at The Cumberland Hotel London, a property renowned for its rich history and vibrant presence in the heart of the city," says Da Silva.

"I look forward to working with our incredible team to deliver exceptional new and legacy experiences for our guests, foster a culture of excellence, and continue building on the hotel’s outstanding reputation."
