JKS Restaurants shakes up leadership team

JKS Restaurants has appointed Joanne Searley (formerly CEO) as managing director of Sabor, Berenjak, Plaza Khao Gaeng and Speedboat Bar, and Laura Irving (formerly CMO) as managing director of Trishna, Gymkhana, Brigadiers, Ambassadors Clubhouse and 42.

As the company enters its next phase of growth, both will work alongside co-founders Jyotin Sethi, Karam Sethi and Sunaina Sethi to drive expansion, including an international growth strategy.

Searley

After recently celebrating 10 years at JKS, Searley has played a pivotal role in the group’s growth from three to 30 restaurants. Her people-first approach has left a lasting impact, championing mental health initiatives, fostering connections with industry charities and mentoring and supporting women in hospitality.

With additional London sites planned for Berenjak, Sabor, Plaza Khao Gaeng and Speedboat Bar, she will continue working closely with chef-partners to enhance JKS’s operations.

Irving

With a strong background in premium restaurant brands, Irving has showcased her expertise in marketing and communications, but has also driven strategic growth across all business areas. Her implementation of cover and revenue-driving systems has supported record-breaking sales, demonstrating her ability to balance creative vision with commercial outcomes.

Now at the helm of JKS's five premium Indian brands, with a total of three Michelin stars between them, she will work with the leadership teams across these restaurants to build on their success as they look to grow internationally.

Co-founder and CEO Jyotin Sethi comments: "JKS has expanded significantly since my siblings and I founded Trushna 16 years ago. As we continue to grow, it's essential to strengthen our leadership team within.

'We are immensely proud to be promoting Laura and Joanne, who have contributed so much to our success. We look forward to working with them to drive our growth and support our restaurants as they become global brands."
