LSL Capital teams up with Cubitt House

In the first week of June, Bombay Bustle will take up residence at Cubitt House-operated Notting Hill favourite, The Princess Royal.
The Maddox Street Indian concept from Samyukta Nair's restaurant group, LSL Capital, will bring the soul of Mumbai to the Notting Hill venue owned by Ben Tish, Sam and Georgie Pearman. 'The Bombay Royal' menu, created by Bombay Bustle's culinary director Surender Mohan, is inspired by street food staples and the vibrant flavours that fuel the city.
"Britain's love affair with Indian food is a story of cultural connection, migration and generations of south Asian families who brought their recipes to London," says Nair. "I can't wait to take a taste of home to Notting Hill, one of my favourite neighbourhoods in the city."
The Bombay Royal menu
Starting with bar snacks, the menu includes prawn koliwada with coriander chutney, onion bhaji with tamarind chutney and mint sauce, lamb samosas and tomato chutney and Injipully chicken lollipop with Kerala-style ginger and tamarind sauce.
Then main event will be the curries, including a Bombay Bustle signature, butter chicken – tender chicken served in a creamy tomato gravy; or the palak paneer – Indian cottage cheese in a spinach sauce. Each is plated with til til ka aloo, tawa paratha and steamed basmati rice.
The Princess Royal has stood for over two centuries and bears the etchings of countless patrons. Guests are welcomed with a mahogany bar, which will be serving Cobra and Bombay Bustle's Maddoc Cocktail, mixing gin with Campari, finger beer and strawberry.
Tish says: "It has been such an honour to watch Surender at work in the Bombay Bustle kitchen. Working together on this menu has opened my eyes to a whole new way of cooking."
