Society set to land in Birmingham
Independent food and drink venue Society will open in the centre of Birmingham on 5 September, bringing a mix of independent street food, craft beer and cocktails to One Colmore Square.
True to its name, Society will feature an open-plan dining hall and terrace, designed to be a social space for the community to enjoy. Society’s playlist will be carefully curated, with DJs programmed from Thursday throughout the weekend.
Food and drink
The venue will be home to five independent kitchens, including Shokupan, which will serve expertly crafted Japanese sandos and melts, while Manzoku will offer pan-Asian street food-style dishes.
Slap & Pickle will offer its signature 40-day dry-aged smash burgers and loaded fries, while Birmingham-based Amore Pizza will bring its traditional Neapolitan-style pizzas. In addition, The Coffee Bar Collective will provide speciality coffees, pastries and small plates.
The Society bar will be the centrepiece, pitching local brews such as Glasshouse and Attic next to the likes of Deya, Verdant and Track. Wine and cocktails will also play a big part, showcasing wines from established and emerging regions.
Nick Gregory, co-founder of Society, comments: “Following the success of Society in Manchester, we can’t wait to open in Birmingham. Society is about creating a place where people can come together in an atmosphere that naturally evolves throughout the day, from breakfast and lunch right through to evening drinks and DJs.”
