Base Face Pizza to land in Richmond

Base Face Pizza will open its next location at 112 Kew Road in Richmond on 17 June.
Founded by former professional jazz musician, Tim Thornton, Base Face started as a lockdown invention inspired by a neglected back garden pizza oven.
The concept moved from Thornton's home to its first permanent site on King Street, Hammersmith, in June 2021, with Barnes following in January 2023 and Putney in February 2024.
The Richmond restaurant
With Hammersmith now closed, Base Face will transfer its central operations to its new flagship site in Richmond. The venue will seat up to 30 diners, including eight outside. The brand's signature style of wooden tables and chairs, complete with a racing green colour scheme, will carry over to the new venue.
The restaurant will offer a succinct menu of 12 pizzas, available as either 12-inch or 18-inch options, including the Marinara (tomato, basil, oregano and garlic oil), Cheeky Pineapple (pineapple jam, pepperoni, jalapeños, mozzarella, tomato and basil) and the white base Manjamo 3.0 ('Nduja sausage, house jalapeño jam, red onion, mozzarella and basil).
To finish, guests can choose from the best-selling Nutella Dough Sticks (fresh-baked dough sticks dusted with icing sugar and served with a pot of Nutella dip) or housemade Tiramisu in either clotted cream or pistachio flavour. All this can be washed down with a choice of wine from a small yet carefully crafted wine list or local beer.
