Flat Iron to open in Bristol and Brighton

Steakhouse restaurant chain Flat Iron has confirmed two regional restaurant openings in the coming months.
The menu at the new Bristol and Brighton venues will be led by the 'flat iron' steak, a cut sourced from the feather blade. A rotating board of blackboard specials will also feature, including Wagyu daily specials and a chilli cheeseburger, all using beef from the Flat Iron herd in Thirsk, Yorkshire.
Sides will include Flat Iron's signature beef dripping chips, creamed spinach, truffled macaroni cheese and crispy bone marrow garlic mash.
The drinks menus will offer a handpicked selection of wines, including Flat Iron's own Malbec, blended by the Flat Iron team from vineyards in the Limoux region in Languedoc, southern France. Draft beers, cocktails and house fizzes will also feature.
'Cities we have always wanted to be part of'
Set to open this Autumn, the 115-cover, two-floor restaurant in Brighton will be located on Ship Street in The Laines. Flat Iron Bristol will follow in early 2026, situated on Clare Street in the heart of the Old City, and offering over 100 ground-floor covers.
The group's head of beef, Fred Smith, says of the upcoming launches: "At Flat Iron, we pride ourselves on serving delicious, carefully sourced, remarkable steak. In our mission to make this accessible to a wider audience, we are excited to announce that we are bringing this to Bristol and Brighton, two cities we have always wanted to be part of."
