Thai Leisure Group announces six-figure investment package

Restaurant operator Thai Leisure Group has announced a programme of restaurant enhancements and a packed summer schedule for its premium Thai dining concept, Chaophraya.

The six-figure investment package will refresh furnishings at the group’s six sites. It will reinforce the brand’s commitment to luxury dining at a time when value-conscious customers are opting for fewer but more memorable meals out.

Ian Leigh, MD of Thai Leisure Group, comments: “Consumer spend on dining is going down, but those who are spending are looking for a premium experience that delivers on all levels – from customer service, to restaurant atmosphere and the best quality food. Now is not the time to scrimp on the special details that help us stand out, like signature scenting, premium upholstery or high-quality ingredients.”

Summer specials

In line with its celebratory positioning, Chaophraya has announced a packed summer schedule of offers, collaborations and limited-edition menus.

A partnership with Casamigos will see outdoor terraces receive a glow-up, with refreshed furnishings and floral installations. As eating alfresco picks up throughout the season, diners can enjoy rooftop drinks and stunning views in exclusive locations.

The Summer Specials menu, designed by Chaophraya executive chef Ko, will introduce elevated, limited-time Thai dishes such as summer rolls and avocado king prawns to start, scallops and weeping tiger or stir-fried udon tom yum seafood for main, followed by coconut pandan pudding or mango sticky rice for dessert.

Graduation will be a key occasion for Chaophraya this summer, with each of its six locations well-appointed in university towns. The A Class Above menu will include Champagne on arrival.

The brand will continue to offer its Royal Bottomless Brunch and Cocktail Club across all sites, with both featuring signature cocktails such as Lychee and Passionfruit Martini, Blood Orange Sour and Watermelon Cooler.

“There’s no doubt that it’s a challenging time for the sector, and it’s been made clear that this government isn’t planning to support the hundreds of thousands of people employed by the hospitality sector," adds Leigh. "We’ve seen brands big and small go under, and we’re determined to meet the challenges head-on. We’re choosing to double down on what we do best – authenticity, luxury and celebration."
