Hard Rock Cafe Manchester marks 25 years
Hard Rock Cafe Manchester celebrates a quarter of a century on Friday, 12 September, marking the milestone birthday by offering guests a second burger for 25p when they buy any burger on the menu.
The restaurant first launched in 2000, with pop icons Duran Duran playing at the opening party. This year's anniversary will kick off with a VIP red carpet event on Thursday, 11 September, bringing together long-time supporters, local creators, media and special guests for an evening of live music, cocktails and a look back at the venue's first quarter century.
'Proud moments and memorable celebrations'
The restaurant has seen plenty of highlights over the years, including the Sir Rod Stewart Fan Club hosting their pre- and post-show parties at the restaurant in 2002, the Manchester United squad launch of the Ryan Giggs film True Red in 2008, the Hard Rock Rising Stage takeover of Cathedral Gardens in 2014, the creation of the 20th anniversary ultimate playlist in 2020 and the Oasis memorabilia showcase in 2025 ahead of the big reunion gig.
Aneta Jarzmik, general manager at Hard Rock Cafe Manchester, comments: "Opening in 2000 was just the beginning. Whether it be a charity fundraising event or a celebration of music and great food, Hard Rock Cafe Manchester has been here through it all, always serving up burgers, beats and a place for Manchester to 'rock out'.
"We're thrilled to celebrate 25 years with the city that made us feel at home, so here's to many more years of proud moments and memorable celebrations in one of the UK's most vibrant cities."
