New Mediterranean menu launches at Galvin Bistrot & Bar
The Galvin brothers are bringing a fresh burst of flavour to Galvin Bistrot & Bar in Shoreditch, with a brand-new Mediterranean-inspired menu crafted by executive chef Arturo Granato.
Granato brings a wealth of experience from some of Europe's most prestigious Michelin-starred Italian and French kitchens. Having retained stars at Galvin La Chapelle and Club Gascon, the chef has now channelled his expertise to mark a new culinary chapter for the Shoreditch restaurant.
Signature dishes
Opening plates include Cantabrian anchovies in extra virgin olive oil, a fresh cured sea bass with tomato ponzo, and golden wild mushroom and truffle arancini.
Homemade pasta showcases the chef's creativity and Italian roots – from duck ragout maltagliati, slow-braised and topped with crisp pangrattato, to meze maniche tangled with cuttlefish and bottarga, alongside cacio e pepe, sharp with pecorino and fragrant with black pepper.
A selection of sharing plates are also offered, such as grilled baby chicken, marinated in garlic oil; cod collar, cooked in the wood-fired oven and finished with a buttery meunière sauce; grass-fed ribeye, aged on the bone; and the Burger Maison – a British Wagyu burger with slow-cooked short rib.
Desserts include tiramisù, lemon cream baba and a chocolate tart with salted caramel.
