Flat Iron to open in Newcastle
Flat Iron has announced plans to open a new restaurant in the North, with its Newcastle location scheduled to launch in 2026.
The opening will follow the group's Bristol debut in December. Both restaurants will continue the brand's commitment to serving steak at an accessible price.
In terms of design, the venues will adhere to Flat Iron's philosophy of stripping back historic buildings to uncover and celebrate their original character, with interiors that have been carefully restored and layered with reclaimed materials, oak panelling and vintage furniture.
The menu
The offering across both sites will be led by the 'Flat Iron' steak, a cut sourced from the feather blade, known for its flavour, tenderness and juiciness. Menus will also feature rotating specials boards, including Wagyu daily specials and burgers, made using beef from the Flat Iron herd in Thirsk, Yorkshire.
Sides will include Flat Iron's beef dripping chips, creamed spinach and roast aubergine with tomato and basil.
Drinks will include a selection of wines, including the brand's own Malbec. Draught beers, cocktails and house fizzes will also be served.
