Jason Atherton to fight in charity boxing match
One of the UK's most celebrated chefs is to take part in a charity boxing match, raising funds for food education programmes.
Jason Atherton (pictured), who runs 16 restaurants around the world, will be joined in the ring by the likes of Paul Foster, Niall Keating, Chloe McCoy and Woongchul Park, as the hospitality industry comes together for white-collar boxing gala Food Fight.
Taking place on Monday 2 March 2026, Food Fight will see leading chefs and hospitality professionals compete in professionally trained bouts, all in aid of Prept Foundation’s food education programmes.
It will also feature National Burger Awards host DJ BBQ as MC, and chef Chet Sharma djing. Old Billingsgate will welcome up to 700 guests to raise money for the cause.
The final line-up and details of who will fight who is yet to be revealed.
Prept Foundation is a UK charity transforming how young people engage with food. Through hands-on, skills-based cooking programmes delivered in schools and communities across Sussex and London, Prept helps young people build confidence, creativity and healthier relationships with food.
