Michael Caines adds to star with three AA Rosettes

Michael Caines at The Stafford has been awarded three AA Rosettes at the AA's Hotel and Hospitality Services Awards.

This latest accolade follows the restaurant earning its first Michelin star in February 2026, after only opening in September last year.

Given to restaurants with a 'strong culinary identity' and that demonstrate 'outstanding standards across food and service', the award acknowledges the team’s collaborative approach to culinary excellence.

“This award for culinary excellence is another milestone for The Stafford and our dedicated kitchen team led by James Willis," says Caines (pictured). "It’s been a great start and there are exciting times ahead. From the very beginning, our ambition has been to create something truly special, a dining experience whereby guests can delight in excellent food and receive genuine hospitality.”

Housed within The Stafford London, the restaurant brings Caines’ distinctive ‘terroir cuisine’ to the capital for the first time. Rooted in seasonality and shaped by long-standing relationships with trusted British suppliers, the menus showcase modern European cooking and exceptional craftmanship.

Dining at The Stafford London involves a signature tasting menu as well as an à la carte offering.

“To receive three AA Rosettes so soon after opening, and following our first Michelin star, is an incredible honour," adds Willis. "It reflects the dedication of our kitchen and front-of-house teams, who work tirelessly to deliver an exceptional experience for every guest.”
