Jason Atherton announces new project in Tuscany
Jason Atherton's next international launch will take place in Italty with the opening of MARIAS, a new Riviera restaurant set within the newly launched Principessa Forte dei Marmi on Italy's Tuscan coast.
Located in the Autograph Collection site, the concept pairs Atherton with executive chef Giorgio Cicero's regional expertise, launching a seafood-led menu that the duo say reflects a more grounded modern approach to Tuscan dining, while continuing to champion its heritage.
The new restaurant concept has been created exclusively for the hotel. Atherton says he has spent years visiting Forte dei Marmi and will be "heavily involved in nurturing the concept and opening".
Cicero's experience includes leading roles at Pollen Street Social, Frantzén,and Quince. He will oversee the kitchen, producers and long-term culinary direction.
Later this year, Atherton and Principessa Forte dei Marmi will introduce a second restaurant at the property with a more intimate fine dining concept.
