Site investments paying off for Brava
Brava Hospitality Group has revealed some trading figures for the first half of 2026, with the Prezzo operator delivering revenue growth of 7.1%.
The business, led by CEO James Brown, says that trading momentum strengthened during the second quarter, with revenue growth reaching 12.3%, as continued investment across its restaurants, teams and guest proposition drives a second year of growth.
Brava also achieved significant profit growth, with H1 EBITDA increasing 155% year-on-year, while Q2 profitability grew by more than 300% compared to the same period last year. The vast majority of restaurants achieved strong like-for-like profit growth during this period.
"Our business is demonstrating that our strategy of investing in our restaurants, our teams and our food quality is paying off," says Brown. "We are seeing strong growth in covers, increased guest frequency and growing profitability across our portfolio."
More to come
These results were achieved despite 14 of its portfolio restaurants being temporarily closed during refurbishment works, resulting in a loss of 24 weeks of trading, highlighting the strength of the Group’s underlying performance.
The performance, Brava says, has been driven by continued momentum at Prezzo Italian, alongside a positive start for the relaunched Jamie’s Italian brand in the UK with early performance exceeding expectations.
Since launching its refurbishment programme, the group has completed investment works at 30 Prezzo Italian restaurants which is driving stronger commercial performance, including recent projects in New Brighton and Peterborough. The group remains on track to have more than 40 restaurants fully refurbished by the end of 2026.
"We are seeing clear evidence that our investment programme is delivering results, improving both the guest experience and commercial performance across our restaurants," adds Brown. "We are particularly encouraged by the support we are receiving from landlords, who can see the positive impact our investments are having on performance. We are excited to open two new Prezzo Italian restaurants, one in Solihull and one on the Strand, in the coming weeks and months. Meanwhile, we are delighted with the initial performance of our first Jamie's Italian in the UK market, and we are actively searching for our next locations."
