TRGC brings Joe the Grocer to Waterloo
TRGC, a UK travel hub hospitality operator, has signed an exclusive agreement with global food and beverage brand Jones the Grocer to introduce the concept to the UK rail sector.
The deal marks a strategic expansion into high-footfall travel hubs for the restaurant brand, with a site at Waterloo in London now open.
Further plans will see Jones the Grocer rolled out across several major UK rail locations. The Waterloo opening follows the launch of two Jones the Grocer concepts in Heathrow Terminal 2 in 2024.
Founded in Australia in 1996 and now headquartered in Dubai, Jones the Grocer combines dine-in and grab-and-go, featuring an all-day menu spanning breakfast through to evening.
"We’re really pleased to be building on our existing partnership with Jones the Grocer and bringing the brand into UK rail, starting with Waterloo," says TRGC CEO Jonathan Knight. "It’s a concept we know works well in travel environments, and one where we see real long-term potential as we expand beyond airports."
The London Waterloo opening serves as the first phase of a broader UK rail expansion strategy, with additional locations expected to follow across key transport hubs nationwide.
"Expanding into UK rail is a natural next step in the evolution of the brand within travel environments," adds Yunib Siddiqui, CEO of Jones the Grocer. "This partnership enables us to introduce Jones the Grocer to a new, high-frequency audience through a format that is both relevant and scalable. With TRGC’s operational expertise, we are well positioned to deliver a consistent, quality-driven experience in this channel."
