Connie's Pizza heads to Brighton

Connie’s Pizza will open its second bricks-and-mortar restaurant in Brighton on Friday 9 October, less than a year after launching its debut site in Peckham.

The business was founded by Naples-born pizzaiolo and 081 Pizzeria founder Andrea Asciuti.

The new restaurant will open at the former Gourmet Burger Kitchen site at 44–47 Gardner Street, near Komedia in Brighton’s North Laine. The site will offer 130 covers across indoor and outdoor seating.

“I’m thrilled to be opening the second Connie’s site in Brighton, especially as the appetite for thin, crispy, New York-inspired pizza continues to grow across the UK," says Asciuti. "The category is becoming increasingly competitive, but Connie’s has a clear point of difference: we bring Italian technique, discipline and ingredient knowledge to a style of pizza that is more relaxed, easy to eat and share, and the perfect comfort food."

The Brighton restaurant will serve the original Peckham menu with a Brighton-exclusive pizza inspired by the seaside, featuring clams, mozzarella, pecorino, garlic, olive oil, peperoncino and parsley. Signature pizzas include Vodka Sauce, Double Pepperoni & Honey, Nduja e Stracciatella and Funghi, alongside sides, drinks and dessert.
