Street Food Championships finalists revealed

The 16 finalists competing for the 2026 Street Food Championships crown have been revealed, representing both independents and hospitality groups from across the UK. 

The line-up showcases the breadth of the UK’s street food scene, with competitors serving up global flavours spanning Mexican, Americana, Bajan, Japanese, Italian, Malaysian and more. 

Finalists include national restaurant brand Megan's, Cardiff’s Fire and Flank, Manchester’s Thief Street and Brighton’s Puffin, alongside other operators from across the country. 

“I can’t believe it’s that time of year again,” says Tamsyn Halm, editor of Quick Serve Magazine, which hosts the event. “This year’s line-up represents so many different styles of food and really champions the creativity of the street food industry. I cannot wait to see what the competitors bring on the day.” 

The winner takes it all 

The Street Food Championships final will take place at London’s Big Penny Social on Tuesday 17 November. Those within the hospitality industry can register to attend here: streetfoodchampions.co.uk. 

On the day the competitors will face four rounds. First, they will have to recreate the dish that secured their place in the competition before facing a technical challenge using sponsored ingredients. 

Next comes the Lee Kum Kee Ultimate Umami Challenge, which will test competitors’ creativity and understanding of flavour, before the final Wings Challenge, sponsored by Givaudan (Major). 

The winner will receive a one-month free pop-up at a Market Halls venue*, offering them the chance to take their winning street food concept to an even wider audience.
