Entries open for Street Food Championships 2023

The Street Food Championships are back for another year, with the action-packed live cook-off set for 7 November at London's Big Penny Social

The competition, organised alongside Dine Out's sister title OOH Magazine, will see 16 street food chefs go head-to-head in a bid to win the coveted Street Food Dish of the Year Award, culminating in a lively party and awards ceremony.

On the day, finalists will also participate in a Technical round that will see them use a range of ingredients supplied by event sponsors, as well as a Wings round, sponsored by Major International.

Chefs from across the street food, out-of-home, fast-casual and restaurant sectors are invited to submit the recipe they feel has winning potential. If you would like to take your shot, submit your signature street food dish for our panel of expert judges to review by 8 September.

Last year’s winner, Alex Rodgers from Birria Bandits in Leeds, told us: "I legit have no words. I didn't expect to win! I arrived with just the anticipation of participating and wasn’t expecting a win at all.

"There really were some very big names. There was a lot of good competition and I've made some really good friends – you can guarantee you’ll be seeing some collaborations next year."

The 2023 Street Food Championships will be sponsored by Fagor, Kerrymaid, Major and the Yeastie Boys. If you would like to enter, or require more information, go to streetfoodchampions.co.uk now!
