Trivet appoints new head chef

A two-Michelin-starred restaurant in Bermondsey has announced the appointment of a new head chef.

Trivet, the restaurant owned by chef Jonny Lake and master sommelier Isa Ba, has recruited Lukas Juhaniak to oversee all kitchen activities.

Having joined Trivet in 2021, Juhaniak has played a fundamental role at the restaurant for the last three years, working closely with the founders towards the attainment of its first Michelin star in 2022, followed by its second in 2024.

Born in Slovakia, Juhaniak completed culinary school in Púchov, before spending two years in Greece. He moved to London in 2016, joining the kitchen team at Pierre Gagnaire's Sketch restaurant. He then spent a year at the three-Michelin-starred L'Oustau Baumanière in Provence, before joining Trivet.
