Dishoom confirms new Oxford restaurant

The UK's popular Bombay-inspired restaurant group has signed for a new site in Oxford for its spin-off all-day bar and café.

Dishoom's Permit Room concept will open in the city, after the operator signed a 25-year lease term at North Bailey House, New Inn Hall Street.

Taking its influence from the permit rooms of 1960s and 70s Bombay, the new site will showcase an all-new food menu, offering bar snacks, curries and some larger plates – plus a few favourites from the original Dishoom menu.

The new location comprises 5,996 sq ft spread over ground and basement floors. Situated in the heart of Oxford city centre, New Inn Hall Street is a pedestrian link between the established restaurant pitch of George Street to the north and the retailing locations of Queen Street and Westgate Shopping Centre.

Savills completed the deal on behalf of landlord Lothbury Investment Management Ltd.
