Berners Tavern reveals festive menus
Berners Tavern, the seasonal British restaurant in Fitzrovia's London Edition hotel, has released three festive menus ahead of the Christmas trading period.
Currently under the direction of Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton, Berners Tavern will serve a December lunch menu, a Christmas feast and a New Year's Eve banquet.
Available from 3 December the lunch menu is a three-course meal including Jerusalem artichoke, truffle soup and roasted chestnuts; poached fennel and pumpkin salad, Cornish day boat cod with saffron potatoes and mussels; and warm orange bread and butter pudding, or pear and almond tarte with Baileys ice cream for dessert.
The Christmas feast menu is designed to be shared, and will see guests starting with champagne and nibbles, before digging into festive choices that include Buccleuch Estate beef tartare, Norfolk bronze turkey with sage and onion stuffing, Christmas pudding baked Alaska, and bitter chocolate and orange yule log.
On New Year's Eve, guests can book a four-course dinner menu – priced at £120pp – including slow-cooked Dingley Dell pork, truffle and pistachio terrine, native lobster salad, Isle of Gigha halibut, venison Wellington, chocolate orange and gold moose as well as tarte tatin with cinnamon ice cream and brandy custard.
