First International Restaurateurs' Dinner coming in April

The first ever International Restaurateurs' Dinner (IRD) will take place on 25 April at Rosewood London, with a menu created by some of the UK's leading chefs, including Tom Kerridge, Claude Bosi, Jeff Galvin, Simon Young and Mark Perkins.

Wine pairings for each course will be selected by Romain Bourger, Master Sommelier and UK Sommelier of the Year 2019, from The Vineyard Hotel at Stockcross.

The fundraising event, organised by the Nth Degree Global, is a joint initiative between The Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, World Young Chef Young Waiter and The Wine Guild of the United Kingdom, co-sponsored by Maison Laurent-Perrier and Berkmann Wine Cellars.

The evening will feature a special menu prepared by the following celebrated chefs, all of whom are Royal Academy of Culinary Arts academicians: Claude Bosi (starter) – foie gras and pistachio pate en croute and Sicilian red prawn; Tom Kerridge (fish course) – cured sea bass 'Bouillabaisse'; Jeff Galvin (main course) – supreme of Goosnargh chicken, fricassee of asparagus, broad beans and spring truffle; and Simon Young assisted by Mark Perkins (dessert) – rhubarb vanilla bean custard, Gariguette strawberries and rhubarb sorbet.

"The IRD is easily one of hospitality's leading fundraising events of the year and I'm proud to be a part of it," says Kerridge. "It raises vital funds for education and training initiatives for young chefs and front-of-house service staff and helps set the standards for both front- and back-of-house teams."
