Otolo launches free hospitality training scheme

Otolo, the socially-funded European mentoring scheme for hospitality professionals, has launched a training programme, pledging to support 4,000 mentees through its platform by December 2023.

The six-month initiative will give participants access to one 60-minute virtual session per month, with a dedicated mentor and an additional six hours of professional coaching from a certified coach. Mentors and mentees are matched using Otolo's AI technology and chosen based on skillset, job experience and industry sector.

Kieron Bailey, programme director at Otolo, comments: "We're extremely excited to announce that Otolo is now ready to start offering free mentorship programmes to the hospitality industry and we can't wait to play our part in helping solve the current staffing crisis and bring positive, sustainable change."

Olajide Alabi, equality and inclusion partner at Turtle Bay and Otolo mentor, says: "Having been mentored myself, I've seen first-hand the opportunities and benefits mentoring provides and would recommend to anyone that wants to build a successful career in hospitality. I'm now signed up as a mentor and look forward to giving my advice and guidance to help someone reach their goals and build their career."

Applications for Otolo's digital mentoring programme are now open. To find out more about the programme or discover how you can become a mentior, visit myotolo.com
