Crust Bros to open at Croydon Boxpark
Award-winning pizza restaurant and National Pizza Awards 2022 finalist Crust Bros is set to open its third site at Croydon's Boxpark.
The new restaurant, which will open on 7 November, follows successes at both long-standing Waterloo and Wandsworth sites. Croydon Boxpark will launch ahead of other new openings for the group, including Boxpark Shoreditch later this month.
Known best for their Neapolitan-style pizzas with soft leopard print charred crusts and a wide variety of fresh toppings, Crust Bros has become renowned around London for its customisable pizza options. The menu at Croydon will offer set 'best of the best' pizzas - tried, tested and loved options by the brand's fans.
It will include the classic margherita, for £8.95, and options for those looking for something different, including Pure Fire, a tomato base topped with mozzarella, basil, chicken, chillies, red onions and chilli oil, for £10.95. There will also be the truffle hunter, a white based pizza topped with mozzarella, Parmesan, mushrooms and truffle oil, priced at £10.95.
To celebrate the latest opening, Crust Bros will offer 50% off all pizzas all day from Monday 7 November to Friday 11 November with every newsletter sign up. Following that, for every order of one pizza or over, Crust Bros will give customers the chance to spin a mystery wheel with prizes such as a free dinner for two available to be won.
Founder Joe Moore first dreamt up the concept in 2014 after becoming obsessed with the Italian ways of making pizza. Following a six-week tour of Italy, self-proclaimed “dough geek” Moore began the Crust Bros journey selling pizza at London’s finest street food markets, including Last Days of Shoreditch and Street Feast.
After a stint at a shipping container on the Southbank and London breweries including Camden Town, Fourpure and Beavertown, the first bricks and mortar Crust Bros site opened in Waterloo in 2017. The brand has won gold at the Salvo 1968 European Pizza Competition and the Pizza and Pasta Awards.
Moore says: “Boxpark feels like a homecoming for Crust Bros. Having started on the street food scene of London and trading as a pop-up at Boxpark Shoreditch for a few weekends back in 2014, I’m so psyched to be launching two permanent sites with Boxpark eight years later."
