Frankie & Benny's announce Christmas dinner pledge
American-Italian restaurant chain Frankie & Benny's has launched its festive menu, announcing a pledge to donate a festive meal to someone in need with every turkey dinner sold.
The cost of living crisis means more people will be struggling to make ends meet year, spurring the brand's decision to partner with Feeding Britain – an award-winning charity striving to eliminate food poverty across the UK.
Frankie & Benny's Yuletide Stuffed Turkey with apple and cranberries, served with carrot batons, broccolini, spring onion mash, crispy parsnip gravy and crispy bacon, is priced at £16.90pp. The menu is available until 3 January 2023.
For just £1, Feeding Britain can provide a meal for someone in need. So, for every festive dinner sold, Frankie & Benny's will donate £1 to the charity.
Feeding Britain supports a national network of 60 regional anti-hunger partnerships, comprising more than 600 local organisations ranging from community centres and schools, to local authorities and social enterprises.
On the Frankie & Benny's partnership, Andrew Forsey, national director of Feeding Britain, comments: "The generosity being shown by Frankie & Benny's and their customers through this partnership with Feeding Britain makes a hugely significant difference to our work. With growing numbers of people relying on our help to put food on the table, this partnership is absolutely crucial to supporting our mission to tackle food poverty in the UK. We are enormously grateful."
