Kricket reveals charity guest chef series
Kricket’s Will Bowlby and Rik Campbell have announced the line-up for their annual charity Guest Chef Series.
Now in its fifth year, the events will take place at the duo’s restaurant in White City and will see four of the UK’s top culinary talents take over the Kricket kitchen to create their bespoke menus in collaboration with Bowlby (pictured).
For 2023, Kricket will welcome David Carter from Manteca and SMOKESTAK; Adam Handling of The Frog, The Loch and The Tyne, Ugly Butterfly and Eve Bar; Grégory Marchand from Frenchie; and Patrick Williams of The Kudu Collective.
Carter and Handling events will take place in September, while Marchand and Williams will be the month after.
"We can’t believe the Guest Chef Series is in its fifth year already," says Bowlby. "I feel so lucky to be able to share my creativity and passion with these four exceptional chefs and peers, as well as being so proud to look back at what we’ve achieved previously with past chefs like Pierre Koffmann, Sally Abé and Andrew Wong."
Charity cook-off
The series continues to raise funds for Kricket’s long-term charity partner Apne Aap Women’s Collective. All proceeds go to the anti-trafficking organisation that serves the women and children of Kamathipura, one of the most impoverished areas of Mumbai.
Tickets are priced at £65 per person, which includes a four-course feasting menu and a welcome drink from the team at SOMA, Kricket's cocktail bar in Soho.
Kricket was founded by Bowlby and Campbell in 2015, in the form of a 20-seater shipping container in Pop Brixton, London. The pair opened their first permanent restaurant in Soho in January 2017. In 2018, they opened Kricket Brixton and Kricket White City.
