Owen Kenworthy appointed Julie's chef-patron

Holland Park restaurant Julie's has announced the appointment of Owen Kenworthy as chef-patron ahead of its spring re-opening.

Most recently stationed at The Pelican in Notting Hill, Kenworthy was also part of The Wolseley opening team back in 2004 and later followed Chris Galvin to Bistgrot De Luxe. He then opened Brawn with Ed Wilson in 2010 where he was head chef for the first five years.

His career has also seen him at the helm of projects such as North Street Kitchen in Cornwall, developing and running a new pop-up concept for the Brut Group (Primeur, Westerns Laundry, Jolene, Fitzroy and Big Jo).

Talking of his appointment and the new owner of Julie's, Tara MacBain, Kenworthy says: "I was instantly attracted to Tara's drive and our shared passion for the reimagining of such an iconic institution. I am a true believer in the integral role that neighbourhood dining plays in a local community and I am looking forward to announcing our launch menu which will showcase classic French regional dishes with the finest and most ethically sourced ingredients."
