Wagamama announces site in Chatham

One of the UK's leading Pan-Asian restaurant chains has announced the launch of a new site in Chatham, set to open on 13 May.

Located at Chatham Waterside, the new Wagamama restaurant – which stands as the brand's eighth outpost in Kent – will offer outdoor seating, where guests can dine and enjoy views of the river.

The venue will offer 172 covers, including 48 outdoors. It will be open seven days a week, creating 60 new jobs in the area and bringing Wagamama's total restaurant footprint to 164 venues nationwide.

Summer eats

The new site will serve classic guest favourites, including chicken katsu, ramen and side dishes from the brand's 50% plant-based menu. It will also offer Wagamama's new summer menu, featuring saku saku soba with a choice of crispy shredded duck or crispy pulled shiitake; crispy otsumami with a choice of beef, salmon or pulled shiitake, presented in six squares of fried rice, soaked in soy and yuzu dressing, topped with smashed avocado, edamame and sriracha mayo. Guests can also expect new drinks, including sangria and shiso mojitos, alongside a Pad Thai Sour.
