Market Halls announces fourth site

One of the nation's largest food hall operators has announced several significant milestones in its journey towards expansion. 

The Gees Court-owned company Market Halls has reported increased revenue, allowing the group to secure a prime location for its fourth site in the capital, settling on Paddington Square as its next launch location. 

Market Halls' strong financial performance underscores its trajectory of success, seeing a 155% increase in revenue to £22m in the12 months leading to July 2023. 

The group, which currently operates three sites in London – Victoria, Oxford Street and Canary Wharf – is now furthering its presence in West London. Nestled within a new mixed-use development, the food hall is located in the new 1.35-acre piazza. The 11,000 sq ft space will feature eight food traders, two bars, an outdoor terrace and seating for 500 customers. The new Market Halls is slated to open in the final quarter of 2024.

The growth pipeline

On top of its expansion within the capital, Market Halls has plans tp unveil its first regional site later this year. With a robust pipeline of two to three sites set to open in the upcoming year, Market Halls remains committed to its vision of expansion in major UK cities and regional hubs. Target cities include Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Liverpool, Leeds, Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
