D&D London to rebrand as The Evolv Collection

Restaurant and bar operator D&D London will change its name to The Evolv Collection in April, with the rebrand also including a new logo for the group.

A spokesperson for the business said it was the "appropriate time for the company to evolve into its new corporate identity", with its new logo set to "represent a continuous cycle of change, growth and speed".

"From our early roots as part of Sir Terence Conran's pioneering restaurant empire, via D&D London, and now into The Evolv Collection, our new name reflects our commitment to a forward thinking mindset for our collection of iconic venues," notes the spokesperson.

The news comes after the London-based corporation – which owns around 20 venues in London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as several overseas in Paris and New York – was sold to investment firm Calveton and Break Capital in 2023, in a deal worth almost £60m.

The rebrand will include the new and improved Evolv Loyalty Club to replace Club D&D, along with a brand-new website.

Group director Simon Wilkinson comments: "Our strategy for year two of our ownership was always about accelerating the pace of change/implementation within the business and growth."

A new CEO

Earlier this year, D&D co-founder David Loewi stepped down from his position as CEO and board director. He had steered the business since September 2022, when fellow co-founder Des Gunewardena left the business. Loewi currently serves as an advisor on the board, with a particular focus on global openings, until a new CEO is recruited.

"April is an exciting milestone for the business," adds the spokesperson.

"We constantly strive to evolve and innovate our guest experiences, our products and our environments. And, most importantly, on our quest to be the market-leading premium restaurant company, we never want to think we have arrived. We must constantly evolve and never take success for granted."
