Lyle's confirms summer reopening plans

The owners of Michelin-starred Lyle’s, New York-style pizzeria ASAP Pizza, and wine bar and bakery Flor have announced the summer reopening plans for their restaurant concepts.

James Lowe and John Ogier have confirmed that Shoreditch-based Lyle’s will reopen on 12 August (online booking now available), serving daily changing set menus on Wednesday-Saturday evenings; the restaurant is also taking part in the government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme.

ASAP Pizza – which is currently based in the kitchen of Flor – will continue to serve its sourdough pizzas between Wednesdays and Sundays, with diners able to dine outside the venue in allocated seating in the evenings (and on Sundays).

Again, customers can enjoy the benefits of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, with any pizza on the menu and soft serve ice cream costing £10; wine can be bought from Flor’s list at shop prices alongside daily specials and salads.

The tables operate on a walk-in basis only and ASAP Pizza will continue to be available for takeaway via Flor’s hatch, though it has launched its own direct delivery service via Slerp, which is able to reach an extended delivery radius of three miles for same-day orders, meaning dishes can now be delivered north of the river.

It will also continue to operate via Deliveroo.

As for Flor itself, it’s currently operating on Fridays and Saturdays selling bread, pastries, wine, and soft-serve ice cream for takeaway only.

This model will continue to trade throughout summer, with news on the venue reopening for sit-down drinking and dining to be released later in the season.
