Fridays to launch first QSR venue in Scotland

American restaurant chain Fridays is venturing into the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) category for the first time in the UK, preparing to open 'Fridays & Go' in Dundee in March.

Owned and operated by Hostmore Plc, the 2,600sq ft venue, situated on Reform Street, will offer the classic Fridays menu – including chicken wings, nachos, sesame chicken strips, burgers, coffee and shakes – while giving guests the choice to either dine in or get their food to go.

Focused on service and speed, the new branch will allow customers to order and pay digitally via touchscreen technology. Click & collect and delivery services will also be available.

The new branch is expected to support 25 full- and part-time jobs for local people in Dundee, with the chain noting a goal to open up to 30 additional QSR venues across the country in the next three years, subject to the success of the inaugural launch in Scotland.

Robert B. Cook, CEO of Fridays, comments: "We are always looking to offer customers new experiences under the Fridays umbrella. ‘Fridays and Go’ will deliver our best ever food at speed for customers on the move, with the iconic Fridays experience remaining a constant."
