Big Table Group recruits new HR director

The Big Table Group, operator of high street restaurant brands Las Iguanas, Bella Italia and Café Rouge, has announced the appointment of Debbie Moore as the company's new HR director. 

With her position effective as of 15 February, Moore will draw on her 25 years of experience in senior HR positions across retail and hospitality, having previously worked as head of HR at Arcadia, and HR director for companies such as the Post Office, Spirit Pub Company, The Restaurant Group and GLH Hotels – where she worked with Big Table Group CEO, Alan Morgan – as well as Prezzo and, most recently, Boparan Restaurant Group.

On the new appointment, Morgan comments: "Debbie is a customer-focused HR director with a wealth of experience across the sector and a great ability to bring out the best in people. I'm delighted to welcome her to the Big Table Group and look forward to working with her again."

Last year, the group announced plans to open 50 new restaurants and refurbish 70 sites over the next three years, investing over £50m and creating 1,250 new jobs in the process. The company's ambition is to invest £35m in new openings, which would take the estate to 200 restaurants nationwide, while the group intends to invest a further £19m to refurbish its restaurants, with 70 major renovations already lined up.
