National Pizza Awards 2022 opens for entries

Entries to the 2022 National Pizza Awards are now open, with chefs across the UK invited to submit their perfect pizza recipes.

Open to chefs from across the hospitality sector – including restaurants, hotels, pubs, bars and street food businesses – the awards will showcase the very best pizzas the industry has to offer, with participants taking part in a live cook-off to be in with a chance of winning the coveted National Pizza of the Year title. 

Entrants will also take part in a technical challenge, in which they are required to use a specific selection of sponsor products in a bid to be crowned Pizza Chef of the Year.

“Pizza continues to dominate the UK's takeaway and delivery category, also remaining a firm favourite among guests when eating out-of-home," says Genna Ash-Brown, editor of Dine Out, which organises the awards.

“We are thrilled to be launching the National Pizza Awards yet again this year, and can't wait to showcase the very best creations this incredible industry has to offer. Last year's competition was the best yet, but the 2022 event is already gearing up to reach a whole new level. Be sure to pack your competitive spirit and your biggest appetite – this is one you won't want to miss!"

Entries close on Friday 16 September, with the live final taking place at London's Islington Metal Works in November.
