Fourth Brother Marcus will include a deli counter

Mediterranean restaurant brand Brother Marcus will launch a fourth site on 19 September, with the venue also hosting a deli and bakery counter in-house.

Open for brunch through supper, the branch is located just around the corner from South Kensington tube station. The counter will offer a selection of Eastern Mediterranean baked goods to eat in or takeaway, including pistachio and cinnamon swirls, almond croissants, tahini blondies, chocolate babka and baklava, alongside pots of houmous, tzatziki, taramasalata, baba ghanoush, marinated olives, bags of pita, house-made ginger beer and oat iced lattes.

The Brother Marcus brunch menu offers dishes such as sweet potato fritters, smokey shakshuka and fried chicken rosti, moving onto afternoon and evening menues that include mezze sharing platters, cocktails and wine.

On top of old classics, the South Kensington branch will offer new dishes such as feta and ricotta borek with grilled spring onions and Greek yoghurt; crispy calamari with garlic and saffron aioli; half chicken with lemon dressing and nigella seeds and a homemade doughnut with date and tahini cream topped with pistachio pasteli.

Cocktails will be infused with Eastern Mediterranean herbs, spices and liquors; while the wine list will take diners on a journey across Greece, with sparkling, rosé, white and red from different regions.

Taking over the space that used to be Muriel’s Kitchen, the interior will have a similar look to other sites, transporting guests to the Mediterranean. Light and warm tones will run throughout with an abundance of natural materials; rattan furniture, clay pink walls, Mediterranean tiles, cascading plants in woven baskets and soft furnishings.

Started by three school friends in 2016, Brother Marcus already has sites in Spitalfields Market, Camden Passage in Angel, as well as the newly opened Borough Yards.
