Lanchester Wines ventures into canned format

Lanchester Wines has ventured into the canned format – a space that has seen sales more than quadruple in just two years – with the launch of its new Wallflower range.

The Spanish wine range, served in 187ml cans, is designed for on-the-go consumption, ideal for festivals, outdoor events, travel retail or on-trade as a single serve.

The range currently comprises easy drinking red, white and rosé wines; the fruity red is a blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon, while the zesty white is Airen and Macabeo, and the rosé is a Garnacha Rosado. All Wallflower wines are vegetarian- and vegan-friendly. 

Mark Roberts, director of sales at Lanchester Wines, comments on the launch: "Whether displayed on a shelf, back bar or marquee, these brightly coloured cans stand out from the crowd. Cans are an uncomplicated packaging solution which are lightweight, easy to stack and infinitely recyclable. Cans can be chilled quickly and are heretically sealed to ensure the wine stayes fresher for longer."
