The Hoxton confirms European expansion

The Hoxton is committed to growing its global footprint, confirming it has seven hotel launches lined up in some of Europe's key cities by early 2024.

The brand will open its fourth London hotel in Shepherd's Bush this December, followed by 18 months of openings in Brussels, Amsterdam (second hotel), Berlin, Edinburgh, Vienna and Dublin.

The Hoxton has seen strong progression in recent years, scaling its portfolio of open-house hotels in sought-after destinations across Europe and North America.

Having launched in 2006, the brand is known for its lively lobby spaces and local partnerships that ensure each hotel feels like an authentic reflection of its surroundings. Destination dining is core to the brand's success, equating to almost 50% of revenue in some properties.

The Hoxton's planned expansion reflects the group's positive bounce back from the pandemic, with many of its operating properties hitting pre-Covid levels and making record-breaking restaurant revenue. While the brand has faced significant recruitment challenges, along with most of the hospitality industry, it has explored alternative routes for sourcing talent. With its upcoming Shepherd's Bush opening, for example, the group has collaborated with Saira Hospitality – a non-profit initiative that sources and trains talent from disadvantaged backgrounds through its pop-up hospitality schools. Over the course of 2022/2023, The Hoxton's expansion will create over 800 jobs across its European city locations.
