Wagamama adds breakfast to airport menus

Wagamama has launched a breakfast menu at its Gatwick North, Gatwick South, Heathrow Terminals 3 and 5 and Manchester Terminal 2 restaurants.

Travellers can now order Wagamama's 'English' breakfast with all the trimmings including tea-stained eggs, sausages, bacon, katsu sweet potato and mixed mushrooms, alongside a toasted bao and a side of sriracha ketchup. With 50% of the menu being plant-based, there is also the option to go vegan with jackfruit ‘sausages’, vegan ‘bacon’ and vegan scrambled ‘eggs’.

The brand has also revitalised classic breakfast egg dishes with a twist. The new take on ‘benedict’ comes with bigger bao with a variety of toppings including a brand-new katsu hollandaise sauce and a sprinkle of shichimi.

The menu also offers breakfast bao with four new fillings, including bacon and nori omelette, or vegan ‘sausage’ and mushroom.

For those seeking something sweet, pancakes with ice cream are available, featuring ube and matcha varieties for Asian-inspired flavours.

Passengers can also order airport exclusives; the bloody samurai, Wagamama’s take on the Bloody Mary, has hints of sake and teriyaki, and its virgin alternative, is only available at airport locations. The brand has also introduced the strawberry shiso mojito, available at Heathrow only, made with Japanese vodka, rum and strawberry flavours.

The kids' menu now includes mini breakfast classics such as the mini-English breakfast, dippy egg and toast and mini pancake and ice cream, and Wagamama’s new vegan mini beans on toast.

The offering is served between 4am–11am at Gatwick North and Gatwick South, 6am–11am at Heathrow Terminal 3 and Heathrow Terminal 5 and 3.30am–11am in Manchester Terminal 2.
