Wagamama opens latest restaurant

Wagamama has opened its latest restaurant at Hatfield Galleria today (6 March). The Hatfield location joins Wagamama’s three already established Hertfordshire venues in Stevenage, Watford and St Albans.

Located at The Galleria outlet centre on Comet Way, the Hatfield branch offers 130 covers inside and an extra 24 outside.

Open seven days a week, the new restaurant opening has created 62 new jobs, bringing Wagamama’s total to 156 restaurants nationwide.

Wagamama Hatfield’s general manager, Aziz comments: "We are so excited to start serving the Hatfield community. The Galleria is one of Hertfordshire’s top shopping destinations, so we are delighted to be opening our doors. We can’t wait to welcome new faces to enjoy our nourishing and delicious dishes."

Tim Stirling, centre director at The Galleria, adds: "We are thrilled to be welcoming Japanese-inspired restaurant Wagamama to our restaurant line-up. We are confident that guests will enjoy the wide variety of dishes on the menu, including extensive vegetarian and vegan options, making it the perfect place to recharge whilst shopping in the outlet."

Throughout the month, Wagamama is supporting students, launching ‘student hubs’ to help bring students together by offering them a safe space to connect with their peers. From 6 to 28 March, on Monday and Tuesday each week, students from the University of Hertfordshire and 21 other locations across the UK, who are members of the noodle union, will be able to make use of Wagamama’s hub to study and enjoy some time away from the pressure of ongoing strikes and feelings of loneliness.

The hubs will have space for 25 students at a time, on a first come first served basis, each student will be eligible to redeem a free side and drink with the purchase of a main meal, and the first 10 students to arrive each day will receive a student care package filled with exclusive wagamama goodies.
