Gordon Ramsay reopens The Savoy Grill

Gordon Ramsay Restaurants has reopened the historic London dining room, The Savoy Grill, following its complete transformation. An elevated menu, a brand-new bar and a wine experience room are just some of the venue's updates.

Ahead of its 125th anniversary, the Savoy Grill has been reimagined by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, founder and owner of the restaurant group. His vision was brought to life by the design studio Afroditi, which took inspiration from the glamorous 1920s Hollywood Regency style – a period characterised by the bold use of colour, contrast and sumptuous materials.

The historic Swarovski chandeliers, Churchill’s favourite clock and the original table layout have been retained to honour the long history that epitomises The Savoy Grill

Executive head chef Michael Turner has curated a new menu with hero dishes including Louet-Feisser Oysters, sitting alongside Savoy Grill classics such as Lobster thermidor, duck à l'orange and Ramsay’s signature Beef Wellington. Front-of-house operations will be overseen by restaurant director Thierry Tomasin.

The Grill will also serve an Arnold Bennett souffle, a nod to the famous omelette Arnold Bennett. The dish was invented at the Grill in 1929 in tribute to Bennett, a regular, who at the time was among the world’s best-selling authors

The Wine Experience Room, a new addition, is a bespoke, walnut wood-lined private room, displaying hundreds of bottles of the world's finest wines. Guests will have the opportunity to experience some of the rarest and most exclusive wines in the cellar, guided by the restaurant’s head of wine and sommeliers.

The Grill will continue to offer its immersive Chef’s Table culinary experience.
