Gusto launches chef's table experience

Gusto Italian has launched its inaugural Chef's Table Experience, designed by executive chef Graham Kirk and group drinks manager Josh Maudsley.

The experience lasts 2.5 hours, offering a six-course tasting menu for parties of 6–12 people. For £49, guests gain access to a personal chef, an exclusive seat at the table, a dedicated private host and a welcome drink upon arrival.

The menu kicks off with roasted balsamic beetroot, followed by either butter roasted king scallop or roast artichoke, truffled linguini, sgroppino (an Italian palette cleanser), seared beef fillet or vegan flank steak. The meal ends with a classic dessert from southern Italy – ricotta and lemon tart.

Kat Schofield, head of marketing at Gusto Italian, comments: "We're excited to introduce an elevated dining experience that offers guests a closer connection to the Gusto kitchen and our cuisine. We're hoping this will enable us to reach a new audience of foodies looking for an impressive experience at a great price."

A wine flight has been curated by group manager Josh Maudsley, pairing with each course for an additional £35 per person.

"I've been with Gusto for over 17 years and am thrilled to be a part of this wonderful and accessible experience," says chef Kirk. "Offering an affordable menu is a top priority for me because I want everyone to enjoy the diverse range of flavours that reflect my personal exploration of Italy."

The Gusto Italian Chef's Table Experience is available via the Alderley Edge, Edinburgh, Nottingham and Oxford restaurants.
