Relocated London Stock opens in Mayfair

Fine dining restaurant London Stock has officially reopened, having moved to its new home on Sackville Street in the heart of London's Mayfair.

Founded by Le Cordon Bleu-trained Assem Abdel Hady and Andres Bernal, the restaurant debuted in January 2020 and was originally based in Wandsworth. 

On top of a seasonal eight-course tasting menu offered all day (£85), the venue also provides an à la carte lunch, three-course (£40) and four-course (£50), as well as a three-course pre-theatre menu (£50) and a four-course evening set menu (£60). 

Led by head chef Sebastian Rast, the kitchen team is committed to cooking sustainably, striving for zero waste and promoting fresh produce of the highest quality.

Head sommelier Lazaros Engonopoulos has curated a wine list to complement the ever-changing menu, including a wine flight to accompany the signature eight-course tasting menu. 

While the offering changes regularly, the menu currently includes starters of smoked burrata with beetroot, pistachio and dark balsamic; native lobster with tom yum, bok choy and lime; and glazed rabbit leg with girolles peach and almonds.

Moving onto mains, guests can tuck into a cherry tomato risotto with basil, parmesan and white tomato foam; Chalk Stream trout with cucumber, buttermilk and dill; or barbecued beef fillet with black garlic, spiced carrot and mushroom.

To finish, the in-house pastry chef has created a calamansi pre-dessert with gin, lemongrass and kaffir leaves, and a show-stopping raspberry dessert with fig, honeycomb and pistachio.  

The new space on Sackville Street features an open kitchen where guests can view Rast and his team at work. Downstairs, the new site also offers a private dining room with a solid amethyst and quartz table seating 12 guests, and a bar in the wine cellar.
