Banana Tree to celebrate launch of Salford branch

A Pan-Asian restaurant chain will launch a new site in Salford on 12 February, marking the occasion by giving away 1,000 free katsu curries to guests.

Banana Tree, famed for its Pad Thai, ramen and katsu dishes, is coming to the city's Lowry Outlet Mall, opposite The Lowry Theatre, this month. Guests can claim one of the free curry dishes, which features crispy panko-coated chicken or vegan bites, served with katsu curry sauce, rice and edamame, by visiting the website and filling out a form to book a table. Once completed, guests will be sent an email to confirm the reservation, which needs to be done 24 hours in advance of their visit. There are over 500 slots available over the first seven weeks of opening.

To carry on the launch celebrations, the restaurant will offer 50% off all dishes for the first four days of opening when booked as part of the 'soft launch' event.

The new Banana Tree outpost has been specially designed to seat 150 guests indoors and a further 70 outside.

Tom Patrick, Banana Tree marketing director, comments: "We're so excited to be opening our first restaurant in the north and open first restaurant in the vibrant city of Salford. This will be our 19th restaurant and we couldn't have secured a better location! With an all-day menu taking you on a tour of Southeast Asian cuisine, we know that there really is something for everyone.

"The 30-strong team have been training hard in our sister restaurants throughout the country for several weeks, and now our team are training in site, we think our Salford restaurant could be our best looking one yet! We're looking forward to welcoming you to our award-winning restaurant."
