Dumplings' Legend teams up with Maison François

Two leading London restaurants will collaborate to celebrate the Lunar New Year this month.

On Wednesday 21 February, Dumplings’ Legend, Chinatown’s popular dim sum restaurant, will take over Frank’s, the bar beneath Maison François in St James’s.

Dumplings’ Legend founder Geoff Leong has worked with Maison François executive chef Matthew Ryle on a menu that celebrates the Year of The Dragon.

The set menu will see a selection of dumplings inspired by Maison François signatures along with Dumplings’ Legend classics. Diners can expect the likes of moules marinière dumpling, snail dumplings and a dumpling filled with the restaurant’s highly lauded pâté en Croûte, while Dumplings’ Legend will offer spicy Peking duck, har gau, and prawn and chive dumplings, alongside a wine list chosen by wine director Daniel Illsley.

Make the most of March

Following the event, the limited-edition dumplings will also be available at Dumplings’ Legend in Chinatown throughout the month of March.

"We’re thrilled to be working with our good friends at Dumplings’ Legends for the Lunar New Year," says Maison François’ founder François O’Neill. "We’ve known Geoff for a few years now and have always wanted to work together and thought this was the perfect opportunity! In true Maison François style, we’ll be celebrating with plenty of great food, wine and incredible company."

Founded by O'Neill, Ryle and Ed Wyand in 2020, Maison François is a brasserie and wine bar in the heart of St James’s.

Dumplings’ Legend opened in 2010 in the heart of the West End on Gerrards Street.
