Rooftop restaurant Yasmin to open next month

A new rooftop restaurant is set to open on the sixth floor of 1 Warwick in the heart of London's Soho in April.

Yasmin – an intimate rooftop restaurant and bar with a wraparound terrace – will launch on Thursday 9 April. Guests will be able to enjoy seasonal small plates and elegant cocktails, with a new menu created by executive chef Tom Cenci, who also oversees the kitchen at 1 Warwick's ground floor restaurant, Nessa

Offering 64 covers, guests can enjoy Middle Eastern sharing plates and cocktails on the terrace by day, while the indoor space – which offers an additional 30 covers – is set to be Soho's latest late-night dining hotspot.

Eating at Yasmin

Cenci's relaxed menu is inspired by his time living and cooking in Istanbul. Starting with snacks and dips, the offering then moves onto larger plates such as sumac-cured salmon, smoked yoghurt, citrus and chilli; Islak bun, beef patty and spiced tomato; sesame-smoked duck, black za'atar and grilled corn salad; lamb rump skewer, coal-roasted aubergine, yoghurt and smoked oil; and baklava ice cream sandwich with pistachio, honey and date molasses.

To drink, signature serves include the Grand Bazaar – Yasmin's take on an Old fashioned – with Evan Williams, Mancino Rosso, bitter honey aperitif and fig; At the River, which mixes vodka, Aperol and rose liqueur with notes of citrus; or the Shapash – a twist on a spicy margarita mixing white tequila with chilli, watermelon and green strawberry.

A selection of no- and low-alcohol cocktails will also be available, such as the Queen Bee with Pentire Adrift, hibiscus and Noughty Chardonnay; and Atlas Ever After – a spritz made with Everlead Forest, watermelon, lime and grapefruit soda.
